Sad news has broken in the world in celebrity. In the course of days two celebrity deaths has been announced.
Leslie Carter, sister of singers Aaron and Nick Carter, has died at the age of 25. Early Tuesday, January 31, the “Like, Wow!” singer died in upstate New York and no reports about how Leslie died has been released. In a statement to Access Hollywood the Carter family said, “Our family is grieving right now and it’s a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter. We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time.”
Another celebrity we loss this week is “Soul Train” former host and producer Don Cornelius. On Wednesday morning, February 1, Cornelius’ body was found by LAPD at 4 am. Police were responding to shooting call and found Cornelius’ body with a gunshot wound to the head. The death seems to be a suicide but no confirmation has been giving pending a continuing investigation.
Infamous for signing off the popular dance/music show with “love, peace and sooooouullll”, the 75-year-old disk jockey pioneered the hit program “Soul Train” shadowing Dick Clark’s “American Bandstand” and brought light to African-American culture through music and dance.
