The British boys from London’s “The X Factor” One Direction caused complete mayhem and set record numbers during their Tuesday, November 13 concert at “The Today Show” in New York City at the Rockefeller plaza.
The rain in the city did not stop 15,000 fans, YES that many, from attending the free concert; some of which have been camping out and sleeping on the cold NY streets since this past Thursday (November 8). The mass amount of fans even caused for 47th street in NY to be shut down.
During the show the boys performed old songs and ones from their newly released Take Me Home album. Fans enjoyed every moment of Liam, Harry, Louis, Zayn and Niall along with the exciting announcement that boys will have a 3D movie.
Someone once referred to the boys as “The five Justin Biebers” and I think that would be an accurate statement given the amount of screaming girls that watched the “What Makes You Beautiful” boys commemorate “British Invasion.”
I for one am not into the boys, I do like one of their songs though thanks to my niece. Despite my little opinion, I don’t think the boys will have a problem sustaining a fan base. What’s your take on One Direction’s appeal?
