16DOT: Twilight Spotlight – Edi Gathegi

If you’re a “Twilight” fan I’m sure you remember the dreaded nomad vampire Laurent from “Twilight” and “New Moon.” Today’s “Twilight Spotlight” will take a look at the man behind the fangs, Edi Gathegi.

Aside from playing Laurent in the Twi saga, Gathegi had a very popular and recurring role on “House M.D.” in 2007 as Dr. Jeffrey ‘Big Love’ Cole and he played Armando Muñoz / Darwin, one of the “original” mutants alongside Jennifer Lawrence in “X-Men: First Class.” Gathegi also had a number of television appearances in shows like “Phineas and Ferb,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” and “Veronica Mars.”

It’s a little weird but I really like saying his name – Edi Gathegi, Edi…Gathegi. And I believe it’s pronounced ga-theg-e. I’m not sure if his parents was on play time naming their son or if they are geniuses but his name sure is catchy and fun to say.

Reason #42 why I love Edi Gathegi is because he repeatedly got Taylor Lautner to sing Miley Cyrus’s “See You Again.”
