Glamberous Ones we are down to our last 48 hours of New York Fashion Week. I can honestly say I am a little sadden by this; I mean what else are we suppose to do for the rest of the year? Before we mourn the end of another NYFW, let’s think of happier times and get to know Stacy Igel for NYFW Spotlight.
Stacy Igel is the fashion designer behind the brand Boy Meet Girl. Igel has worked with many top brands and personalities such as Izod, Elie Tahari, Zandra Rhodes and Elsa Klensch. In 2001, Igel founded Boy Meets Girl , “an edgy, stylish young contemporary brand.”
Over her time in the business Igel has gained much recognition in the fashion industry. Her infamous logo, which is a profile image of a boy and girl facing one another, can be seen exclusively as the official staff uniform for the members-only club, The SoHo House. Boy Meets Girl clothing has been on the racks in many top stores like Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales, Saks and Fred Segal.
Igel’s brand has also made major headlines in media. You can spot Boy Meets Girl on television shows such as “Gossip Girl,” “Vampire Diaries,” and “New Girl.” Publications like InStyle, Teen Vogue, Lucky, People, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, WWD and the New York Times, have all featured Stacy Igel’s brand. Currently, Igel is Boy Meets Girl’s Creative Director and host/producer of Behind the Seams™ with Stacy Igel on Lockerz.com.
I’ll be attending Stacy Igel’s Boy Meets Girl “Forever Young” show tonight so be sure to check back in tomorrow for an inside scoop at how the show went.
