We all know the mother of media Oprah Winfrey can get the candid truth out of anybody. I mean, who needs lie detectors when you have Oprah around. Oprah sat down with noted ‘bad girl’ R & B singer Rihanna on Sunday, August 19 for an in-depth interview apart of Oprah’s The Next Chapter series on OWN.
The topic everybody couldn’t WAIT to be brought up was none other than singer Chris Brown, Ri’s ex who got trashed in the media for being convicted of domestic abuse against the “You Da One” singer. Ri Ri did not hold anything back when speaking about Brown.
“I think he was the love of my life. He was my first love, and I see that he loved me the same way. We ran free, we ran wild. We were going at a really rapid pace that we forgot about ourselves as individuals. We needed something to completely shut that off, ” Ri said to Oprah during the interview. She continued to say the two have since rebuild their friendship and will always love each other.
Brown was not the only focus of the interview. Ri showed Oprah around her hometown of Barbados and spoke fondly of her family; especially the love she had with her now deceased grandmother.
